About HexLex

HexLex is an annotated digest that tracks and indexes the most recent, relevant content of interest to software professionals, using both analytics and human editors to promote the best entries from a selected set of sites. An entry marked with a graph analytics symbol, has been discovered automatically based on links from other entries and sites. A star star symbol indicates the entry was reviewed or annotated by an editor. The front page shows top-ranked entries sorted chronologically, then by rank, and the sites with the highest fraction of the total rank. The search function covers all sites and entries, with entry and site rank used to boost matching results. The first 30 days of entries are searched first, with the full archive available for searching for older information.

Information for Site Administrators

This site runs on the Attribyte search/publishing platform. All search engines and feed-readers use automated software agents (AKA web "bots" or "crawlers") to collect and index information from sites and feeds. Attribyte uses several agents, and all respect the robot exclusion protocol.
